FAQs

A standard setup is a setup that is no more than 100 feet from the delivery truck, where the path to the setup area is clear, smooth, without incline, decline, stairs, hills, mountains, rivers, streams, creeks, bridges, or any other unusual terrain. In other words “Flat”. The path must be wide enough for equipment to easily roll through to the setup location. Equipment dimensions can be found with each item. Please contact us in advance if your event does not meet our standard setup requirements or if you have questions. Additional fees may apply.

We can set up on Grass, dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can’t set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps.

Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC uses stakes to secure most inflatables or bounce houses. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to locate any underground utilities and sprinkler systems before the event and Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC is not responsible for any damage to underground utilities or sprinkler systems caused by staking in unmarked locations. It is recommended to call 811 before the event if there are any concerns about underground utilities or sprinkler systems.

Set up and take down usually takes approximately 20-40 minutes, provided there are no obstacles in the way (such as pet dropping, kids toys, or furniture). Please CLEAN UP ANY PET DROPPINGS before we arrive! Our setup and take down times are not part of your rental times so you will get to enjoy your rental items for the duration of your party.

We may show up as early as 8:00 am on the day of your event or if needed by our team we may deliver the day before. We will Notify you at least 24 hours if this is needed by our team. If you need any accommodations when it comes to delivery or pickup times. We will then give you a call to confirm when you’d like it delivered and picked up.

 

Our pick up times depend on how many rentals we have out and the pick up times of the other events scheduled for that day. Your driver could show up right at the end of your party time or be there up to 4 hours after your scheduled pickup time. For Parks and Businesses events we need a delivery and pickup window of at least one hour. On overnight orders, we will pick up at our convenience. If you have a special need please let us know when you place your order.

 

Typically, pickups take place no later than 8 pm the night of your event. At times, we may need to pick up your items the next day. If this happens, you would get extra time with the inflatable at no extra cost.

Make sure you have at least a 30″ (for standard jumps) and a 4 feet in width (for larger combos and water slides) and easy access to the setup area. Some inflatables can weigh up to 650 pounds so we need a CLEAR PATH with ample room.

Yes. All equipment must be in a secured location like a backyard, fenced in area or inside a building. Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC reserves the right to deny this service if deemed necessary. Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC also reserves the right to cancel the overnight portion of any event at any time if we have reason to believe that our property is at risk of damage or theft.

Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC cleans and sanitizes all inflatables and equipment after every use. Customers are responsible for keeping the equipment reasonably clean and will be charged a cleaning fee or the cost of replacing the unit if it is excessively dirty or damaged by prohibited substances or activities such as but not limited to gum, silly string, glitter, food, drinks, candy, foam, trash, confetti or mud.

Yes and no. The customer is not responsible for normal wear and tear on the units, but they are responsible for damages caused by failure to follow the safety rules or negligence. For example, if the damage is caused by not turning off the blower in high winds, the customer will be responsible for all damages including the replacement of the unit or the blower. It is important to read and follow the safety rules so that you can operate the unit correctly and avoid any damages.
Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time? Not for overnight rentals
Yes. Most bounce houses and other inflatables are powered by an electric blower, which is plugged into an electrical outlet. The blower continuously pumps air into the bounce house in order to keep it inflated and safe. The only time a blower would come unplugged would be for overnight rentals

Parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you will need a generator. You will need to add a generator to your order. Our generator’s will come with enough gas guaranteed to run for at least the duration of the running rental period. We recommend calling the parks and recreation department of the park you want to set up at to receive guidance on rules, permits, insurance etc. prior to renting our equipment.

 

It has been our experience that it is best to use our generator’s with our equipment. We know our equipment and we guarantee that our equipment will work best with our generators. We will not use a generator provided by you with any of our equipment.

 

ALL PARK JOBS MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR EVENT

We accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or Credit Cards. If paying by cash, please HAVE EXACT CHANGE as our Delivery Crew does NOT carry change.

Yes, Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC requires a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your dates and times, which can be made through cash, Zelle or credit card. We do require a 50% non-refundable deposit for Holiday Rentals, Easter Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), 4th of July Day only (unless the 4th of July falls on a weekend then it will be 4th of July Weekend Saturday and Sunday), Labor Day Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), Halloween Day ONLY (unless Halloween falls on a weekend then it will be Halloween Weekend Saturday and Sunday)

Yes, If an “additional insured” needs to be added to the policy for your event, we can easily add it

Each individual item has the safety recommended weight and number of bodies allowed, overcrowding a unit can result in injury, Safety First please refer to Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC Rules

THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: DO NOT Let children play on any inflatable WITHOUT Adult Supervision. Adult Supervision is necessary to enforce the rules for safety operation of our Inflatables

In the event of a problem or issue with the equipment during your party, you should contact the office of Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC immediately at 916-462-7661. We will assist you in resolving the issue over the phone, if possible. If the problem cannot be resolved over the phone, a representative will be sent to your event to address the issue. If the problem is determined to be caused by customer negligence or the customer’s electrical system, additional charges may apply. It is important to report any problems during the party, as Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC cannot be held responsible for issues reported after the party has ended and will not issue any refund.

In the event of inclement weather, it is ultimately up to the customer to decide whether or not to use the equipment provided by Phatty Matty’s Rentals LLC. The company does not cancel orders due to weather and cannot predict the weather at every location. However, it is important for customers to use caution and follow safety guidelines such as not using the equipment in high winds or during thunderstorms. It is recommended to use common sense and not set up or use the equipment if conditions are deemed unsafe.

If you wish to cancel you must contact us by no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Time the day before your event. If you do not cancel, you will be required to pay the full amount. If you do decide to cancel, the $100 non-refundable down payment/deposit will be put on a raincheck tied to your email address. You can use this for any future rental for up to one year.
